We started better than we have done in a while,the first half is usually the worst for United but today was different,we had most percession of the ball,we created a lot of chances in the first half as did Morecambe with some great saves by Bobby Ojlenik,neither team could put away in the first half but what would the second half bring.
New Gilbert.
Today we had to say goodbye to Gilbert the Gull,because he was falling to pieces,but saying good bye to one Gilbert we had to say hello to a new one. It was a fresh younger model and the design had completely changed. i don't know whether i like the Gilbert but i will see in a few games time whether he tops the old Gilbert or is a complete disaster.
Top Goal Scorer Lee Mansell.
Lee Mansell striked his fifth goal of the season, to make the Gulls 1-0 up just into the second half,The goal left defender Kevin Nicholson stunned, one more goal and that will make Lee win the bet between him and Kev,When we score the vibe is so much better and everyone gets louder which makes the players fell better because of the good support,That goal meant Lee Mansell is now Torquay's top goal scorer with 5 goals in all competitions.
Morecambe strike back
In the 82nd minute Morecambe managed to equalized with there top goal scorer Carlton took of on a stretcher, the goal left Torquay fans stunned in my eyes they didn't deserve the goal, but that goal meant it was another draw to add to the card for United.
